We're sorry to learn of your experience. This isn't typical of how are interviews are conducted at our Co-op. Without further information it's difficult for us to comment but we would like to draw your attention to some aspects of the application process that may offer more clarity for you.
In terms of the location, sometimes interviews can take place at different stores, this could be if the store you're applying for doesn't have adequate office space, or if interviews are being completed for a new store that hasn't been built yet. Was this explained to you at all when you had your confirmation email?
Our roles are posted with work patterns and candidates are expected to see if these will fit with their current commitments, there is a screening question in the application process which covers this too. By answering yes to this screening question we've assumed that you are able to work the variety of shift patterns that have been posted. To our knowledge there isn't a section for candidates to tell us if they're students or not.
With regard to the conduct of the manager, this is not something we expect or condone and if we had more information we would be sharing this with the store manager and their manager to investigate this.
