Contacted local sales managers directly and set up a meeting. I was informed they did not have any positions available at their branch, but that another manager had an opening so we set up an interview with him. The interview was not like other interviews I have had. They spent quite a bit of time talking about the benefits they offer going through a brochure and talking about what a great place is was to work. I did not need to be sold on the company as I was clearly interested in a role with them already. They asked me very little questions about myself and my background and I couldn't shake the feeling the whole thing was a big waste of time. I was informed I did not get the job via a phone call because they simply had more experienced candidates. I was disappointed when I saw the new hire on a post on linkedin and found they went with someone who had one year of logistics sales experience when I had over two years of 100% commissioned B2B media sales experience. I do wonder what they are looking for in ideal candidates.

I had an interview scheduled after a recruiter reached out to me. I scheduled the interview and let them know I was looking to relocate. The recruiter didn’t read that part I guess and when I got on the interview I let her know again, she said she doesn’t oversee that region so she will forward my info to that region. My interview was at 3pm, I assumed the other recruiter would email me to set up a time, he called around 4:30 but I was working so I couldn’t pick up. No voicemail, no email, just never heard back.

Was headhunted via LinkedIn, went very far into long interview process, then was rejected due to incomplete post-secondary, which they would have known before they headhunted me. Lack of organization and filtering through recruitment, however, fantastically structured company, lots of opportunity for hungry reps.
