I received an email after Grace Hopper encouraging me to apply (I had put my resume in the database but not attended the conference). I completed the online application, putting in my resume. I had a fairly easy coding challenge, then a more challenging phone interview. A few months after that, I got an email telling me that they wanted to fly me into Chicago, and in January, I had in-person interviews there. Before lunch, I had a standard coding interview. It was on a laptop, with a whiteboard nearby to write out ideas. After lunch, I had a design interview. They asked me about how I would make some kind of system and had me describe concerns I had about the system and how I would go about designing the system to address those concerns.
