    Avantages

    Good benefits. Great pay. Great PTO. Great Location. Pension (small but most companies don't offer this at all). Plentiful transfer opportunities.

    Inconvénients

    There are lots of longtime employees who get to keep their jobs simply because they've been there a long time, even if they are totally incompetent. If you end up in a department with one of these people at the top, you are doomed.

    Conseils à la direction

    Focus on rewarding truly talented people and demote/terminate incompetent people.

    J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2+ mois. J'ai passé une entrevue à CME Group (Chicago, IL (États-Unis)).

    Entretien

    The total time took around two months of time. I applied online, and then two weeks later I got a link to an online assesment. After a week they told me they wanted to set up a phone interview. 30 minutes had behavioral questions and the other 30 minutes was an average coding problem. After a week they invited me on site, which was an hour coding problem, an hour for lunch with two employees, and then lastly an hour for a system design question. They also gave me a tour of the building. The coding problem was about as difficult as the phone one. The lunch was just casual chat about myself, and time to ask any questions i had. Lastly the design part was the most challenging one, and I did not finish solving and ran out of time. Everyone there was really friendly and helpful though if I had any questions they were quick to answer. A month after the onsite I was given an offer to join for the summer.
