Submitted resume, then received call from HR person. Went into great detail about the "campus" and Bayer "experience," which really isn't that important to me, someone who has been in the work force for over 35 years. Basically talked to me like I was right out of college. Then told me the position he was calling about was going to be filled "in house," but maybe I could be hired as a contractor for 30, 60, or 90 days. Then he described this job that is going to be filled "in house" in detail and asked me about my qualifications meeting the responsibilities of this job he already told me was going to be filled "in house." I am not an employee at Bayer so, obviously, I was not getting the job. Related my experience to the position anyway, he said he'd talk to manager and get back to me in the near future. Received a call three weeks later saying the were going to fill the position "in house" - what a surprise!
