I was contacted via an agency for the role. I had two interviews scheduled, everything went smoothly initially resulting in positive feedback and they mentioned they might soon come back with an offer. Then they went completely silent and upon asking feedback they said they had a hiring freeze for a lot of roles. In a few weeks they contacted me again for a role, which they said did not have a hiring freeze and wanted me to take the interview for another department. Interview was scheduled again, 5 mins before the interview time they contacted mentioning the interview was cancelled since they hired an internal candidate. This experience with BDO has been really unprofessional, completely wasting candidates time, which also makes you think of the professional conduct of the company.

I had a first-round interview with HR and unfortunately it was a very poor experience. The interviewer appeared disengaged and seemed bored to be there. I was enthusiastic and made an effort to build rapport, but the dismissive tone made the interaction uncomfortable and off-putting. Despite this, I sent a polite follow-up thank-you email (which went unanswered) and later reached out again for an update. I never received a response or any indication of the outcome. I understand the market is competitive, but basic courtesy and communication go a long way, especially for candidates who invest significant time and effort preparing for interviews. A lack of follow-up or feedback reflects poorly on the candidate experience and, frankly, on the role of HR itself.
