J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez BBC (Londres, Angleterre) en avr. 2014

      Entretien

I interviewed for a job I had been doing as a temp for 6 months. I knew I was the only candidate yet they still went through the process, whilst pretending there were other candidates, which I knew wasn't the case! The HR department were pretty bad, even though I stated on the application I was doing the role they asked me over the phone how I'd heard about the position and why I thought I was suitable for the role. They simply hadn't read the application before calling me and the lady was like an automated box-ticking robot. After the interview, they offered me the role, but wanted to pay me less than the agency I had been employed through were paying me to do the same job. I ended up declining the role as I was essentially taking a pay cut to continue doing the job I was doing. When I declined the role, they didn't enquire why, in fact I had a follow up call 2 months later saying I'd not been successful (by this time, I was well into a new role elsewhere). Then a week or so later, I got a phone call inviting me to an interview. They are clearly disorganised in HR and appear to have no understanding of what's actually going on in the business. The people I worked with were amazing. HR, a let down.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The questions were straightforward, to do with work history and situations I had dealt with, why I thought I was a good fit for the role etc.

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez BBC (Londres, Angleterre) en sept. 2021

      Entretien

It was a panel interview, a couple from the department itself and another superior from another department. They each took turns in asking questions and was looking for a very comprehensive and detailed person which ultimately I wasn't exactly what they were looking for.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to work in this role? What can you bring to the role? How would you deal with confidential information? How would you prioritise contacting different clients, external contacts, members of the team? How would you effectively communicate with members of the team? How would you manage workloads that are for different teams and deadlines? Can you give an example when you had a tight deadline? Which of the BBC values do you think are important when working in this role? How are you handling new software?

The interview was organised around a week and a half in advance, with a panel of two people from the show. It was described as being a competency based interview, and I was advised to work from the job description ad job specification to prepare.

Very competency based...make sure you read job spec and have examples of similar things in previous work. The bbc board is very rigid, this is supposedly to do with fair selection but is most just typical bbc bull and ensures that most people hired fit the expected mould but anyways... Do you research before hand on the above and you will be fine.

None really. Pretty standard stuff, research the area you are interviewing for
