      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Argus Media (Londres, Angleterre) en févr. 2019

      Entretien

1st stage: Phone interview with sales manager, general questions, tell me about yourself why you want to work here etc. 2nd stage: Face to face interview at their Holborn office with sales manager, they have a fantastic office over two floors. Again general questions and your understanding of their industry, and how well you think you'll be able to pick it up if you come from another industry. 3rd stage: Final interview with the sales manager plus the director of sales, both are really great guys, cant complain about them whatsoever. Very down to earth and genuine. This stage is a role-play where you'll sell their BI product to e.g. someone who works in oil and gas and another person who works in the power sector. The goal is to close the meeting by trying to get the clients to book a demo. Qualify them in person and try to understand and pinpoint their frustrations and why your product would be great for them. They will not give you information unless you keep asking and uncover their whole situation. Its tough but doable however, some of the questions they ask you were questions i couldn't answer as i would've had no way to extract certain information about the product i was trying to sell. You're expected to sell the product with the aid of their website which has limited information. It's not 100% clear as to why i wasn't offered the job as i smashed each stage (based on their own feedback about me) What didn't make sense is they wanted to find someone with sales experience who they can mould into a sales star and didn't want someone from the same industry as they may bring bad habits with them to the job. This is what i was being told by them throughout all 3 stages. However in the end they told the recruiter they wanted someone who was already from their own industry and wanted more of a 'plug and play' type of person. I felt like my time was wasted especially if all parties were aware from day one i was from a different industry but i proved throughout the process i was more than capable of working there.
