My first outreach was with an HR Rep who connected me with the hiring manager via email. I never received the first intro call with HR to set expectation, the requirement of this role or asked about salary expectation. I went into 3rd round interviews and did a whole presentation and honestly felt like I wasted my time. They wanted the research and ideas but left me in the dark during the whole process.
