Overall, one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve had and looking through past reviews, It’s a shame no one tries to fix the process. I was very excited to have my interview, I have over 20 years experience and I was looking forward to working for a reputable company. Upon signing on to the interview, the interviewer joined, said nothing only until I introduced myself and asked about the format. The interviewer proceeded to say, they were waiting on someone else to join, so they could shadow. Great, I proceeded to ask why their camera wasn’t on, they then told me, it’s fine if your camera is off, they weren’t turning on theirs. Great, It was now pretty apparent this interviewer had poor communication skills and no experience conducting interviews, most importantly technical interviews. The interview continued as if a robot was conducting it, I provided answers and coded a working solution, without any feedback from the interviewer. The only way I knew the answers were correct is because the test cases passed and the interview ended 15 minutes early, no feedback, no introductions, and no time for questions. I really hope Airbnb looks at these reviews and does something about this , but I highly doubt it because it looks like this has been happening for quite sometime. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or energy. Thanks for nothing!
