J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Airbnb (San Francisco, CA) en oct. 2015
Entretien
First contact by email (requesting a marketing project) and HR phone screening.
This was one of the most disorganized and unprofessional HR screening I have ever experienced (based on my previous experiences with other companies e.g, Google and Facebook).
It's surprising to me because Airbnb is known to be such a great company to work for. Despite of my negative experience, it is worthwhile to note that they might be growing too fast and receiving many talented candidates to a point where they can't really focused on creating a more efficient process.
Here's the account of what happened:
1. I received an email from the HR staff requesting to write a project showcasing my marketing expertise. I spent two days working on this project.
2. I sent the work and waited for 1 week to hear back. HR booked a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I didn't receive the call. I emailed HR back. The recruiter strongly apologized (overbooking problems) and asked to speak with me within the next 10 minutes. Because of that, I was given 15 min (instead of 20) to answer quickly to various questions.
3. Recruiter told me that it will give me an answer back towards the end of the week. I didn't get any reply back. Emailed the recruiter one week later. Recruiter answered stating that HR managers decided that I wasn't a good fit for the position.

Question 1
Mostly focused on behavioral questions, such as, tell me a time where you succeeded in marketing X or tell me a time when you overcame a difficult situation ...

Initial outreach team briefed me on what to prepare for my interview and none of it was covered. Total disconnect. And then no follow up even after they promised to let me know what was happening. Complete sub par experience.

it was fine not too difficult or unexpected questions mostly the standard why do you want to work here and tell me about your background and work experience. all the people I spoke with were nice and professional.
Had an interview with the recruiter which I thought went very well. After the interview, I waited a week before reaching back out and was told to standby until feedback for my interview came in. I waited an additional two weeks before reaching back out again. After sending the recruiter an email, I was rejected almost immediately. The actual interview with the recruiter was very pleasant, but I do feel like the hiring manager never intended to circle back and let the recruiter know I would not be moving forward.
During a time when there is a lot of chaos in the world and people are losing jobs left and right, a little courtesy and kindness goes a long way. Stop misleading candidates.
