Had language assessement, then online assessement (number series, letters matching...). 2 weks later they called me for an interview. Neesd to wait 4 weeks in order to get a reply after the first interview

      Question 1

Casual HR questions. Why did you want to be a Customer Sales and Service Agent? Role play: Client with extra baggage, and they don't have any cash to pay for extra fee. How to handle the situation

I applied for the full time permanent position in mid-february. I then received on the same day a link for the video interview, which was very simple & easy because you have at least 30 seconds to think about your answer. ✧ video interview question ✧ * the questions starts with basic questions yes/no about your flexibility/time/languages (without recording) * & then 6 questions (recorded) are about yourself & your previous experiences (tell me about a time) - tell me about yourself - tell me about a time you went over & beyond for a customer - tell me about a time you had to deal with an angry customer - why air canada After 1 month, I received a call, on 12 march, from a human ressource. She was very nice & asked if she could interview me on the phone. The questions again were almost the same as the video interview questions. ✧ phone interview ✧ - what languages do you speak professionally? - tell me about a time you didn’t know the answer for something at work & what did you do - tell me about a time you had a change in priorities & how did you handle it - tell me about a time you had a conflict with your coworker * again only questions about your previous experiences, so give an example of what happened & how did you handle the situation * (it took around 15 minutes because she was typing the answers, so make sure to speak clearly & not too much fast) when the interview was done, she scheduled in the same week the language test by phone & the face to face interview (15 march) ✧ language interview - phone ✧ ii speak fluently in french & english, but very basic in spanish & arabic. ii guess ii should’ve not mentioned the languages i’m not fluently speaking/writing because they want the level to be professional the english, spanish & arabic questions were all the same (oh & btw, the arabic is the « literal » one, not the « darja ») - what was your previous work, what did you do & what did you like/dislike - what did you studied in? - where did you travel, what did you like/dislike? - where would you want to travel, why? - what is your weakness? - where do you see yourself in 5 years? - why work with air canada? ✧ face to face interview ✧ * after the first phone interview with the human ressources who schedules the f2f date, they will send you a message with all the instructions & paper to print & sign, so make sure to have everything & double check days in advance * the beginning of the interview started in an office, the girl who interviewed me was very nice, she started with announcing the conditions of the work, the hours, salary (from 14$, they remove 6% for ii forgot what reason), that you can grow in the company after 1 year working here, etc & then, once that was done, she started with the interview questions, which she wrote down on a document. it was the part that ii didn’t like because we didn’t have any eye contact during the whole interview. it was stressful to talk & look at someone with no face expression, just nodding the head & not removing her eyes from her paper. it wasn’t pleasant & ii wasn’t able to express myself confidently because of it. - what is teamwork? - tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker - what would your coworker say about you? - what criticism have you received from your supervisor & how did you handle it? - tell me about a time you had to convince someone? - tell me about a time you had to sell something & had to respect a certain quota - why should i chose you among all the other candidates? when the interview was done, she asked if i had any question & she said that they will email me in 2 weeks with a response 11 days later, (today) ii received a message from the recruitment team, saying that ii wasn’t chosen. they don’t explain the reason why. so ii wish good luck for everyone who is about to do the interview, if you have any questions, ill be checking from time to time the comment section, ii know how stressful it is & ii would love to help out & for those like me who haven’t been accepted, cheer up ! you have what it takes to do an awesome job & you will find another good place :) these next week are the recruitment time ! so keep looking & everything happens for a good reason, always ! cheers ~
