      There were 5 rounds. HR With team lead With 2 other Implementation engineer- This will be a case study where you would have to demo and answer questions that might come up With Leadership team With Global leadership team HR Round- This was a 30-minute phone screening call. The conversation was around my experience and "why adyen". With team lead- This will be another 30-minute round to access what technical skills you have. In my case this was just 10 minutes with one question- Tell me about a time you worked with APIs. I told him about my project and he asked few clarifying questions about my project. After 10 minutes he mentioned I am moving to the next round. Technical case study- This step was the most crucial. There will be 2 Implementation engineers asking you questions in between your demo. I was told to demo the "web drop in" component and they asked me a lot about the demo. Now, the questions asked in this interview are subjective to your content. After the interview I was given a feedback that I went too "technical" and lost them in the middle. I would suggest to keep the demo as an overview of what you are supposed to demo and keep the technical knowledge in your backpocket - just in case they start asking too many technical questions. Also, learn the difference between API key, HMAC key and client key- this was the only question that I could not answer. Please ensure that your demo works and there should be no failure- this could cost you Leadership interview- This was all about Adyen formula and my previous experience. Questions could be along the lines of "Why adyen" and "What are you looking for in your next role" Last one would be with a global leader- This was also about why Adyen and my experiences. CRUCIAL- If you reach at this stage, please prepare a list of questions that you want to ask the senior leader. They hate if the conversation was not engaging and even though the last round is more of a formality, if you do not ask too many questions and show enthusiasm- you might get rejected

      It was quite a lengthy process. Vibe check from several colleagues, technical interview, hiring manager and leadership. They were quite responsive though and it took around one month end to end

      Be careful negotiating! They rescinded my offer after I attempted to negotiate despite my recruiter indicating they could get a better offer for me. Unfortunately the recruiter also told me an incorrect salary range during the phone screen. When I asked to match my current salary (an additional $2000) I was told the decision should only be about my career, not money. I am truly shocked!

      The process started with a recruiter screen, then a call with the hiring manager, and finally a case study interview with two people from the Implementation team. The case study was an hour long, split into a 30-minute presentation and 30-minute Q&A, but it felt very technical throughout. I presented a full end-to-end Web Drop-In integration plan. They asked technical questions on nearly every slide and often challenged my answers, even when I explained the reasoning and tradeoffs behind each approach. I was able to handle most of the questions, but a few were so specific that you’d only know them if you had memorized the Adyen documentation. At one point, I gave what I thought was a complete answer, but the interviewer kept pushing back. I wasn’t sure if it was to simulate a tough client situation or just to see how I’d react. There were two interviewers, though only one really engaged. The other barely looked up or said anything. The tone overall felt more like a technical cross-examination than a collaborative discussion. I appreciated the depth of the questions, but clearer expectations and a bit more balance would have made the experience better. The feedback I received afterward was that my case study responses didn’t fully align with this position at the moment.
