J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Adyen (Londres, Angleterre) en nov. 2020
Entretien
First stage was a phone call with the head of mid market sales. It was mostly me asking questions about the role and the company. It felt relaxed and painted a really positive and exciting picture for Adyen.
Second stage was a 20 minute presentation pitch on zoom. I had to pitch Adyen to the HOS and three of the top sales managers. We went straight into the presentation, followed by some questions.
Similar to the first interview, it felt like I had to ask most of the questions here. They didn't ask about anything on my CV or my career to date. This is really difficult to explain and say - but I strongly felt like the team didn't want to be on the zoom or know anything about me as a future potential colleague. I am basing this on the lack of questions asked, short responses to my questions and body language. It was an uncomfortable feeling I have never experienced in a job or interview before. And it was so different to the impression I got in the first interview.
I got a generic email the following week saying my application was unsuccessful. It was the sort of email you get after only sending your CV, not giving after a presentation to the team. For a company that says in their core values that they would rather 'pick up the phone and not just send an email', I was surprised that this wasn't implemented in their recruitment process. It was so disappointing to receive this. I spent a lot of time and worked hard on the presentation and a quick phone call to say I didn't make the next stage would have been really appreciated.
I am personable and I know I do well in interviews, so I found it hard not to take this personally, but I hope the team see this review and perhaps reflect on the interview process and how they reject candidates at different stages of the process. And I do wonder whether I was written off before I even began my presentation...
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Minimal - it was me asking them questions in the first interview and in the second interview I had to ask the team what they wanted to know about me. In my presentation I think they asked two questions through out.
Impressed by the depth of the hiring process and the quality of questions from senior management. They really go deep. You can’t fake what you don’t know. It’s refreshing (and reassuring) to see how committed they are to hiring the right people.

Question 1
What are the 2 or 3 key indicators that tell you you’re moving in the right direction within a sales cycle?
What information do you need to assess whether your sales cycle is truly solid?

Call with recruiter, then hiring manager with two other stakeholders and then panel style interview which was face to face. Friendly recruiter but all other interviewers were cold including hiring manager. Try not to be put off... I think that's just their style and likely just a Singapore office culture thing than company culture.
