      Entretien

Started with email contact from HR setting up a brief screening call. After that, another email from HR arranging a phone interview with the hiring manager. Only a start time was specified, so I was very surprised 28 minutes into the call to find out it was only a 30 minute interview. I assumed 45-60 minutes which is the norm in my experience. After that, another follow up email was sent from HR to set up a 15 minute phone interview with a VP. Up to this point I told my friends it seemed like they just wanted someone who could fog a mirror given how quick and easy it had been. After setting the 15 minute call, the HR person requested three professional references. I provided them despite not having had an in person interview yet. The HR person specified that she wanted their email addresses, which I sent her. My three references then received an email from the hiring manager saying I was a top candidate for a job and then asked them for written descriptions of my work performance for each of the main job duties. Each reference spent up to an hour answering the hiring manager's questions with thoughtful positive responses. The 15 minute call with the VP was uneventful - he had no questions for me and was 20 minutes late calling. He started by complaining about how many interviews HR set up for him. I never heard from Adobe again. Worse, my references spent considerable time on Adobe's request and I'm reluctant to ask for their help again. It was entirely unprofessional for Adobe to ask for lengthy written references before being close to hiring me, and just as bad to never get back to me to let me know what was going on. Definitely a negative experience.

The interview process was surprisingly fast for a company of their size. In less than a week, I had three interviews and received an offer! First interview was with two devs, the second one was with a project manager and the hiring manager, while the third one was with the org. director.

They call it three roounds but it was ten interviews with fourteen people! A tremendous amount of redundancy and too many people involved to give the appearance of fairness and diversity.

      Entretien

I recently went through a recruitment process with Adobe and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I was initially approached by a recruiter and scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager. The conversation with the hiring manager went well, and I was told I would hear back by the following week. However, I didn’t hear anything by the promised time, so I followed up with the recruiter myself. He informed me that I had progressed to the next stage and that I would hear about the second interview soon. The recruiter then told me that the team was busy but would have more information by the end of the week. At the end of the week, I had to follow up yet again, only to be told that the job opening had been cancelled due to internal issues. I decided to send a polite thank-you email to the hiring manager, expressing my understanding of the situation and leaving the door open for future opportunities. The next day, the recruiter called me, and to my surprise, he was incredibly rude and aggressive. He claimed that it was unprofessional for me to contact the hiring manager and implied that I shouldn’t have written the thank-you note. This phone call exposed the recruiter’s earlier lie — it became clear that the position hadn’t been cancelled, and the recruiter was likely stalling for time while waiting for a final decision from the hiring manager. I found this whole process to be both unprofessional and disrespectful. It's perfectly acceptable not to be selected for a role, but it is not okay to mislead candidates and then treat them poorly. I would strongly advise future candidates to be cautious and prepared for potential time-wasting and a lack of transparency from the recruitment team.
