First, they called and negotiated the annual package. Then they Scheduled a technical interview which I think was not a good way to determine someone's ability to work. They should have simply given a task and asked to write the code to do that But they were asking for the function names that perform a particular operation. Now when you work with multiple languages it's easy to forget or mix up the function names.
