Avantages

Decent pay, mostly friendly employees. Since covid-19 99% of the work force works from home so the building is pretty quiet. There is always something to fix in one of the fifteen buildings we service. Little to no micromanaging when things are going well.

Inconvénients

Ok place to work but little to no room for advancement. Growing with the company may not be in you favor unless you have family in upper management. Company preaches diversity, equity & inclusion but I have seen little DEI from 2020-2023. Lots of micromanaging when issues arise on the executive floors. Not 100% sure what's going to happen once the company closes the general office.

Avantages

FirstEnergy is a big company with a lot of growth that I've seen firsthand. Employees are helpful and all have the shared goals of keeping reliability of the electric grid. The pay is decent and stays competitive with the market rates as they do reviews consistently and evaluate. Its a great company that is trying to do better after misguided leads hip in the past

Inconvénients

Some executive leadership vision is not shared with lower level employees. The recent transition from WFH back to the office has left employees such as myself wondering why its not role based WFH.
