Avantages

Good compensation and benefits Intelligent, driven co-workers Can work in a variety of fields relatively early in career Strong dependency on company systems leads to predictability

Inconvénients

Long hours for most engineering positions (50-60 hours weeks are the norm) Poor people management Entry-level supervisors can be very poor leaders - these are often people with a strong technical background but no leadership skills. Managers above entry level are generally better. Limited upside for promotions for employees not interested in moving to Houston

Avantages

Good pay and a pension

Inconvénients

Everything else. Benefits are lackluster, Flex Your Day policies are elusive. The company changes everything all the time so that a large portion of your time is spent finding new links to things on the portal, figuring out who to contact in various departments and in what country just to get a simple answer to a question. No one stays in the same role long enough to get good at their job. Morale is terrible.
