    Avantages

    C'est un cadre de travail très luxueux, les plats sont une beauté et d'une précision à couper le souffle

    Inconvénients

    Cependant, l'ambiance est très tendu.

    Avantages

    Amazing work environment very chilled some of the managers, talk about promotions are there

    Inconvénients

    Pay structure should be re evaluated , employee three month reviews should be re evaluated especially based on slow economic turnovers in the retail industry.

    Avantages

    Great environment with vast amount of different coworkers who are all friendly and feel like family. You're able to grow and create goals for yourself that keep you motivated. Organized company. Genuine care for customers and for helping one another out. Made you proud to be a Nordstrom employee.

    Inconvénients

    Ranging paycheques, commission-related arguments, competitive people can sometimes ruin the balance of workplace. Work hours are all over the place.

    Avantages

    Pay was higher than average

    Inconvénients

    Everything else. Only got 20% discount, management is horrible (no consistent training, but lecture the team for low productivity). Some managers throw you under the bus and reporting to HR does absolutely nothing, they act more like psychologists than actually resolve an issue with managers. Managers aren't trained on our job and are doing things wrong but then give us attitude. Worst of all, you will only get a promotion if the manager likes you, if not don't even bother trying to get a career out of this place.

    Avantages

    Great environment for their employees. Much space and everyone are polite to each other.

    Inconvénients

    $12/hr based rate, has to meet your target when you in the department of low end clothing. It is very hard to make commition.

    Avantages

    Good for customers since the company is very customers obsessed. Steep learning curve for new hires, especially those who do not have retail backgrounds.

    Inconvénients

    Political environment. Unsupportive management. Expected you to know everything after 4 days of training when the training is really just speakers talking about theories. Expected you to know how to use the POS system on day 4 and no one really helps you out when you are having a problem with the system or the customers.

    Train your assistant dept managers and managers well so that they give a thorough coaching to your new hires. And from there, your new hires can help the company to achieve more sales and provide quality customer service.

    Don’t assume all new hires have retail background and they will know everything about the company from A-Z when they are on the floor selling.

    Inconvénients

    Do you want to be treated with respect and appreciated for you job? don't apply here. Let me give you a few examples.
    Store manager will have her clothing, including her bras and shoes in her office and diapers for you to clean up. She will also expect you get on you hands and knees to scrub the escalator.
    Visual team, contractors or whoever will move things around, fix things and you will get blame for any mess left behind. Aka you did not do you job properly.
    Make up area will have so many stains you think the sales people might be doing it on purpose. Specially around mac and charlotte tilbury.
    If you complain about being tired on in pain, the answer you will get is "you are always tired".
    Hr seriously asked me if I was new, after working there for over a year. They will also call you other names.
    Sales people does not know you exist. Except for the few manager that see you on the early morning (they were nice).
    Bazzile, Ebar and Habitant are supposed to clean up a little for you and move everything out of the way, this will never happen so don't believe the trainers.
    Constantly short staff because no one wants to stay in the job after 2-3 weeks there. So get ready to be call last minute and
    You will never get positive feedback about you job, you will only received the complains.

    Should get familiar with the job overnight cleaners do, by actually doing the routines.
    Respect peoples time off, and don't call them during the day as that's the time you sleep during .
    Advice to store manager, at least said hello to the workers, even if they don't make money for the store.
