J'ai travaillé chez CROSSMARK à temps partiel (Pendant plus de 10 ans)

    Avantages

Flexible with scheduling, if you have another job.

    Inconvénients

Low pay, no room for advancement, and rarely a raise. Worked for Crossmark for10 years, was physically no longer able to perform the heavier tasks. Asked for a reference for my 10 years of excellent performance..denied! Was told they do not give references..no acknowledgment ..just see yah. During my 10 years I was never guaranteed how many hrs per week ( difficult when at times I'd only get 10 hrs of work in a week ) BUT I had to be "available" for 40 hrs per week. Most new projects became a nightmare with mismanagement of project materials not arriving on time or not working in the actual field. Too much chaos within management, so much turn over. Was made to feel expendable, and under appreciated. They also are cheap when it comes to reimbursing you for mileage on your vehicle..really only paying for fuel on a compact car..never mind the wear and tear ..depreciation with all the kms you will put on. You provide your own computer/fax/scanner/printer...what they give you for paper and ink..barely covers depending on what printer you have. So what you are being paid doesn't really reflect what your take home pay is given all of these parameters! You are paid by the MINUTE, based on a hourly rate. They won't pay for admin time when the project requires all kinds of phone calls and emails to deal with.

    Conseils à la direction

Get your ducks in a row, respect your employees and pay them a living wage!

Je travaille chez CROSSMARK à temps partiel (Moins d'un an)

    Avantages

Good if you're looking for weekend only work, i.e. students. You make more than minimum wage and very little education or experience is required. You know your schedule a month in advance.

    Inconvénients

You need a car or reliable transportation as you can be sent to many different locations. Very little training, you may never meet your supervisor. Some stores don't have a lot of shoppers, making the day go by very slow. Probably not ideal for those that need to make a living as hours are not full time.

    Conseils à la direction

Proper shadowing and hands on training for the job. Store manager expect new people to know things that we are not trained on.

    Vacations in Part time

    Manager:

No proper training what so ever. I joined with no prior experience in the field and was left alone to do everything on my own from the very first minute! At least some one should've spent 5-10 minutes with me in the beginning if not more. I did my best on my first day and even went out of my way to set up a fellow employee's booth in the same store (who had actually called the manager and gave up on the event already before I intervened). However, when manager arrived somewhere at the end of the day, the first word she used was to criticize! I was arranging samples on my booth when she saw me and said you are not reaching out to people! I mean c'mon you judged my day based on 1 look!! No appreciation for saving the day for fellow employee what so ever. She quickly left to stay with other employee in same store (who was experienced). We were running out of samples and instead of paying from her pocket, she urged me to use money from my pocket to pay on FIRST DAY! I mean you are attached with company for so long and at senior level, yet you chose not to use your own money and instead asked me twice! Which of course I didnt agree to. The company seems good but the manager was manipulative and extremely unorganized. She even manipulated me into cleaning booth for some one else. She told me its your booth, clean it thoroughly - once i completed, she was like its not yours, you still need to clean yours which is somewhere else! Be careful when dealing with manager.

    Conseils à la direction

Hire better people in management positions.
