When our core values meet 🤝 ZIM Miami, in cooperation with the Latin America Business Unit, ZIM Logistics, and the Caribbean & Central America Unit, recently launched a terrific initiative to organize quarterly activities amongst different teams, allowing everyone to get to know colleagues they don't usually get to engage with. While the first event emphasized the value of togetherness, the second event also focused on sustainability. For a day of giving back to the community, we partnered with Farm Share, a nonprofit organization that cares for the less fortunate in South Florida, and enjoyed a picnic on the beach with games alongside family members of our own 🏖️ Thanks to our campaign leaders, Kelsey, Andrea and Yeilin for making this happen! Many maritime professionals recently attended the SMDG #76 conference in Helsinki, including our very own ZIMmers, Ori Ben-Shimon and Alex Ginzburg. ZIM has been a leader in the Ship Message Design Group (SMDG) organization for many years and has recently taken part in designing new EDI messages for the industry, as part of its vision to be the leading carrier in the global container shipping industry with the most advanced IT infrastructure. Throughout the meeting, ZIM proposed solutions to numerous challenges, as the SMDG team addressed and agreed on several critical EDI protocols. A big thank you to all participants🙏

The Z-league 📣 At ZIM, we strongly believe in exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. What better way to motivate our ZIMmers than through some friendly competition? ZIM Latin America Business Unit recently completed their Healthy Living 90-Day Challenge, in which different teams within ZIM were encouraging each other with ZIM's can-do approach to participate in various sports such as soccer, swimming, basketball, biking, etc. ⚽ We're extremely proud of all the hard work everyone has put into this. The ZIM Logistics and ZIM Miami Caribbean and Central America teams joined the 5k run, which marked the end of the challenge, but the beginning of something much bigger. Our value of togetherness was emphasized more than ever throughout this initiative. Friendships have grown stronger, teamwork has enhanced, and office morale has risen!
Keeping your goods ice-olated 🧊 ZIM Italy recently presented a unique conference in Genoa's Porto Antico district, showcasing the one and only ZIMonitor and its advantages to a diverse group of customers. Following a thorough technical overview, customers were invited to participate in a practical demonstration, which highlighted its full potential and allowed them to truly comprehend how their cargo is in the safest of hands. "It's been a one-of-a-kind opportunity to share and experience this innovative product with our customers, and it will undoubtedly add value to a variety of commodities," shared Mr. Cravanzola, Reefer Specialist.

Our HK teams are eager to create an office culture of professional development, personal growth, and most importantly, togetherness.
Time flies… or sails? It was 50 years ago today…. In May 1972, ZIM's trailblazing ZIM Container Service (ZCS) arrived in New York for the first time. In many aspects, ZCS was the first of its kind. When ZIM applied its dauntless, pioneering spirit to container transport, it was still in its infancy. This innovative project included building the first containers, as well as establishing routes, terminals, and the famous ZCS branding.
