Lancée en 2020, au plus fort de la pandémie de COVID-19, la collecte annuelle d’aliments est devenue notre occasion d’aider nos collectivités locales de façon très positive! Joignez-vous à nous aujourd’hui, le 21 juin, alors que nous sommes unis pour célébrer la Journée nationale des peuples autochtones. Honorons et reconnaissons les droits inhérents, la dignité inébranlable et la résilience à toutes épreuves des Premières Nations, des Inuits et des Métis.
Le mois de juin est synonyme du Mois de la fierté. Cet événement nous donne l’occasion de célébrer la communauté LGBTQ+ et sa lutte pour l’égalité des droits partout dans le monde. Chez WAVE SANS FIL, la diversité et l’inclusion jouent un rôle clé dans la définition de notre culture. Pour renforcer ces valeurs, nous avons trois groupes de ressources pour nos employés afin de promouvoir la diversité dans notre milieu de travail : Fierté @ Glentel, Femmes @ Glentel et NAPC @ Glentel.
What is Black history month to me. As a black man, I do not think we should have a black history month because for me, my black history is written and lived every day. However, I understand the importance of what it should be, what it represents and I accept it. We live in a world where people think they know our history but I encourage everyone to educate themselves on what really happened. We have contributed to create, shape and influence the world as we know it today and Black history month is a great time to educate and remind us all of the importance of our history. I also want to thank Glentel for the initiative because I feel like it’s a step in the direction that we as a nation and as a people should go in. I am proud to be black and I am also proud of what comes with being black.
Black History Month means celebrating the lives of people who made certain freedoms possible for us . For many years, African American and Caribbean people have faced lots of challenges and discrimination around the world. Having a “black history month “ helps us understand more about their cultures, and also their struggles and the challenges they have faced and are still facing till today . Black history month is about celebrating all of their achievements and seeing how far they have come. It is also an opportunity to recognize the work still needed for black representation, freedom and justice in Canada and around the world.
We want to give a well-deserved shout out to Craig, Sales Manager in Windsor, who seized an opportunity to help his community. Last August, he noticed a local golf course was throwing out cans/bottles as garbage. He connected with them to start collecting recycling and was able to raise over $1000 to donate to the Children's hospital foundation. Keep up the great work! . Nous voulons souligner et féliciter Craig, Gérant des ventes à Windsor, qui a saisi une opportunité d'aider sa communauté. Au mois d'août dernier, il a remarqué plusieurs canettes/bouteilles de plastique avait été laissées sur un terrain de golf local. Il est entré en contact avec des employés de l'endroit pour tout ramasser et recycler. Il a réussi à récolter plus de 1000 $ pour donner à la Fondation des Hôpitaux pour enfants du Canada.
