A day in the life of… Mateusz Grzybowski, Graduate Data Engineer Mateusz is a Graduate Data Engineer based in London, developing scalable and maintainable data pipelines that ensure great data quality which analysts and data scientists use. He moved to the UK in 2019 to pursue studies in bioengineering where an interest in software development sparked for the first time. Prior to joining the company, Mateusz worked in various computer vision research branches, starting from jaw lesion detection based on radiography images to building deep learning models for 3D object detection for autonomous vehicles. Eventually, he dropped the path to pursue new challenges. Fun fact: Mateusz can name every country by its flag.

Prior to joining the company, Delia worked in the Foreign Office. Delia's fact: She survived the 2004 Phuket tsunami, stranded on a balcony for 4 days surviving off the yellowfin her dad had caught!
A day in the life of… Shannon Buckley, Customer Success Manager Shannon is as a Customer Success Manager based in Vortexa’s Houston office. Prior to joining the company, Shannon worked at Wood Mackenzie. Fun fact: If money wasn’t an issue, Shannon would choose to work at a wildlife sanctuary or as a game warden. She has always been passionate about protecting wildlife, and the idea of being on the front lines to bring poachers to justice and preserve natural habitats really resonates with her. It’s a cause that’s deeply important, and she’d love to dedicate her time to making a real difference in protecting the animals and ecosystems that need it most.

Q & A with Jake Grieves, Graduate Product Analyst Jake is a recent graduate, having completed a Maths Bsc and Fintech Msc at the University of Bristol. Prior to Vortexa he spent some time working with charities around the Brighton region, leading a data analytics programme for the Russell Martin Foundation. Fun fact: Before working at Vortexa, Jake spent six months working as a builder with his uncle. A day in the life of… Gary Guan, Graduate Full Stack Engineer Gary is a Graduate Full Stack Engineer on the Application Development Team. He was born and raised in China before moving to the UK for University. He loves making friends from all over the world and exploring different cultures through travel. Prior to joining the company, Gary obtained his master degree in Computing with a specialism in Finance from Imperial College London.
