Christmas in July Down Under! Our Aussie teams were feeling the holiday spirit with our Christmas in July celebrations last week. To add to the festive mood, everyone wore their jolliest attire for the Christmas sweater competition and enjoyed a spread of delicious treats.
A few of our team members attended the UXDX 2023 conference in New York, where they heard from some of the best designers, developers and product managers in tech to learn about the latest trends in user experience, design and development. They came away with some incredible insights and techniques on empowering their teams to deliver, including: - The idea that process can be seen as an enabler for greater accomplishment and efficiency by considering where the process is adding friction versus enabling creativity. - Teresa Cain’s two-hour design sprints - a tool that we’re excited to introduce to our product design team and incorporate into our design framework.

Recently She Codes Australia hosted a special Masterclass Day Event for the Sydney Plus Program cohort at the new Western Sydney Startup Hub (WSSH), an innovative hub, operated by Spacecubed. The audience heard from a lineup of talented speakers who presented on a variety of topics, including our very own Engineering Manager - Chumba, Juan Gabriel Balbuena Borba. Gabriel introduced the audience to unit testing and put them through a TDD Crash course where they learned about improved code quality, better maintainability, faster development and confidence. #vgw #womenintech #shecodes
