Our team at Chicago O’Hare International Airport is taking creativity to the next level, not just to protect the planet, but to help restore it. As part of our Summer Safety campaign, team members participated in a design contest to transform garbage barrels with original artwork themed “Taking Care of Nature.” The winning designs are now proudly displayed across the airport, turning everyday waste stations into symbols of environmental care and artistic expression. Next time you're at ORD, please know these barrels are here to collect more than waste - they are here to collect compliments!
The Unifi After Dark team just completed their 20th refresh at San Diego International Airport. While the airport quieted for the night, the team came together to give the SAN breakroom new life with color, comfort and thoughtful details. These late-night efforts go beyond updating a space—they’re about creating a place where colleagues can pause, recharge, and feel appreciated. A small thank-you to the people who keep operations moving every day.

Unifi's corporate team came together at our Atlanta headquarters for a Back to School Bash, assembling 500 backpacks filled with essential supplies for the children of our Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport frontline team members. The backpacks, tailored for students from elementary through high school, were shared with nearly 300 employees, offering a small but meaningful way to celebrate the new year and show appreciation for the dedication our teams bring every day. A huge shoutout to our Calgary Airports team for bringing health and wellness to the ramp as part of our I’m Committed campaign. For Lamoyne Hines, ramp work isn’t just a job, it’s a calling grounded in teamwork, safety and a deep respect for the people around him. Based in North Charleston, S.C. (CHS), Hines brings more than 25 years of aviation experience and a powerful sense of empathy to his current role as a ramp agent with Unifi. After retiring from a long career that included roles as a certified instructor, ramp trainer and duty supervisor, Hines stepped away from aviation, but just briefly. “I was only retired for about eight months,” he laughs. “I missed the energy, the teamwork and the planes.” Since joining Unifi, Hines has become a quiet force on the ramp—ensuring the job gets done correctly and mentoring new hires with patience and purpose. His aviation journey began in Atlanta with Atlantic Southeast Airlines, inspired by his childhood fascination with planes flying low over the fields near his home. That early spark turned into a decades-long career filled with hands-on training, leadership and a reputation for excellence in standards and compliance. Before stepping into aviation, Donte Williams’ days were filled with fossils, artifacts and the echoes of ancient life. In 2009, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, he guided guests through towering dinosaur displays and relics from long-extinct worlds. But one day, as he walked through the quiet halls, Donte felt something stir inside him—a spark. “There’s no such thing as what you can’t do,” he reminded himself, a belief he carries to this day. That spark told him it was time to explore something new, something alive.
