🌊 Temple is proud to have played a key role in ensuring equality and inclusion within the River Thames Scheme. The challenge was designing and implementing the UK’s largest fluvial flood defence initiative in a way that promotes fairness and supports communities, especially those with protected characteristics. Our solution involved a robust Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA), developed through seamless collaboration across disciplines, to identify potential impacts and ensure the voices of affected residents were central to the process. By integrating health, equality, and social value considerations early on, we helped shape mitigation strategies and foster strong community ties. The result is a project that not only safeguards communities from climate risks but also creates a fairer, more inclusive future for all. 🔗 Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/exB4kxws

Ahead of International Women’s Day, we are celebrating all the amazing women at Temple. We work alongside incredible women who lead our projects, shape our culture, and keep us moving forward. But for Temple, it is about more than celebration. It is about action. We are committed to removing the barriers that can hold women back from career progression, whether that is managing health challenges, caring responsibilities, or life events. Over the past year, we have strengthened our support with new policies around menopause, fertility, neonatal care, carers, and flexible working, helping our people balance work, health, and home without compromise. We are also continuing to build a safer, more inclusive workplace through clear guidance and training on preventing harassment and supporting gender-related health needs. Here is a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of some of the brilliant women at Temple, showing just how much goes into the work we do and the amazing people making it happen. At Temple, we are working together to #AccelerateAction every single day.
