Last year alone, nearly 30,000 cases of #ProstateCancer were diagnosed in Spain. Despite the gravity of this issue, the 5-year survival rate for patients diagnosed with advanced-stage disease (stage IV) remains alarmingly low at just 28%, highlighting the limitations of current population screening programs. In light of this, Dr. Eliseo Vañó Galván emphasizes the critical role of AI-driven solutions like QP-Prostate, which are already showing promising results in Spanish hospitals. These tools are becoming essential for more effective prostate cancer management.
Just in low- and middle- income countries, poor-quality care is responsible for up to 15% of overall deaths. This number is a reminder to all of us in the medical community about the importance of continuously improving care standards.
