🗞️ In this article on the initiative to increase #ProstateCancer screening rates from 80% to 90%, The Telegraph highlights how the NHS England will adopt Quibim's technology to support early detection. Backed by a £2.6 million investment, the initiative will be rolled out across seven hospitals. Every year, more than 55,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer, but only half of cases are detected at an early stage, when treatment is most effective. QP-Prostate can help detect up to 11% more cases at this crucial time. To truly change outcomes, screening initiatives must become standard practice, something that organizations such as Prostate Cancer Research and leaders such as Rishi Sunak strongly advocate. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dR8KQnTB #AIinHealth #PrecisionMedicine #InnovationinHealth #HealthTech #Oncology
Professor Philippe PUECH is a leading figure in genitourinary imaging, leading international research and clinical guidelines in #ProstateCancer, among many other topics. From his work at the Department of Radiology in the CHU de Lille (France) and in the Inserm U1189 research lab, to releasing almost 200 publications, the organization of innovative teaching courses, or the development of high-impact medical software, Prof. Puech has consistently shaped how technology advances medicine and how informatics supports radiologists for prostate cancer imaging. Having voices like his on our advisory board reinforces our mission to transform medical images into actionable predictions. Welcome to Quibim, Professor Puech; your expertise will help us see further. #AI #radiology #medicalimaging #advisor #innovation #MRI
For urologists, PI-RADS 3 lesions remain one of the most complex issues in #ProstateCancer management: an equivocal lesion where the decision to perform a biopsy can be complex and often uncertain. That is why we are proud to share that the poster presented by Fundación Instituto Valenciano de Oncología (IVO) to the Spanish Association of Urology, “Artificial intelligence in PI-RADS 3 lesions: a potential tool for predicting clinically significant prostate cancer,” was awarded second prize for best communication at the national congress that took place in Cadiz last June 11-13. With Quibim’s collaboration, the study showed that QP-Prostate provides adequate sensitivity, specificity, and delivers a high negative predictive value — helping guide smarter biopsy decisions. Based on the PSA alone, this case might not have raised any red flags, but Dr. Fernando Losada needed to make sure everything was in order. After noticing a subtle asymmetry in the left central zone—an uncommon origin point for prostate cancer and a notoriously challenging area for detection—he requested a second opinion. That’s when QP-Prostate stepped in. While traditional methods might have missed it, AI demonstrated how intelligent detection can be a game-changer, even in unusual locations. ▶️ Full webinar: https://lnkd.in/dThVhgjd #ProstateCancer #AIinHealthcare #PrecisionMedicine #AIinRadiology
🔍 Why is it so important to predict colon cancer recurrence before surgery? Because it achieves two of our main objectives: helping doctors make more informed therapeutic decisions and bringing patients closer to truly personalized care. In our latest publication in 𝘌𝘚𝘔𝘖 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯, developed with INCLIVA Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, we present a radiomics-based AI model that predicts the risk of recurrence in stage II and III colon cancer. By combining radiomic and fractal biomarkers extracted from pre-surgery CT scans with clínical data, the model offers a non-invasive and more accurate alternative to current methods, enabling smarter decisions to be made before surgery. One step closer to smarter, more targeted cancer care. 📄 Read the full article: https://bit.ly/44Ughyl #ColorectalCancer #CancerResearch #PrecisionOncology #AIinHealthcare #MedicalImaging
When it comes to medical imaging, hands-on experience makes all the difference. Hosted by Uroima and Quodemy on November 3, this expert-led workshop is a great opportunity for radiologists looking to refine their prostate MRI interpretation skills through real-world, hands-on learning. We're always happy to share meaningful learning opportunities — because whether it's about increasing confidence or enhancing expertise, the goal is the same: to turn knowledge into clinical impact. #MedicalImaging #Radiology #ProstateMRICourse Francesco Giganti Violeta Catalá
