Una pregunta ambiciosa que reunió en Madrid a los mejores expertos en la materia, como la filósofa Adela Cortina, el profesor Daniel Innerarity Grau, la comisionada del PERTE de Salud de Vanguardia, Dra. Raquel Yotti, y el fundador y consejero delegado de Quibim, Dr. Ángel Alberich-Bayarri. En el encuentro, organizado por de RETINA Tendencias, y moderado por Jaime García Cantero, los expertos pusieron de manifiesto las enormes ventajas que implica la nueva tecnología, pero también los riesgos, dado que debe ser desplegada con principios éticos y responsabilidad, con una legislación protectora, y sobre todo, enfocada en el bien común. Como explicó Raquel Yotti, la IA ya está ayudando en el ámbito de la prevención, en el diagnóstico precoz, en el tratamiento con nuevos fármacos, y en la rehabilitación. Ángel Alberich puso el acento en el impacto que la IA tiene en el diagnóstico, con herramientas como las que ha desarrollado Quibim con imágenes médicas y que permiten detectar enfermedades como el cáncer en estadios muy tempranos, convirtiéndose en un complemento que mejora y refuerza las capacidades del radiólogo.

The project focuses on developing scalable and equitable AI solutions, with a special emphasis on #cancercare and healthcare delivery in remote regions. By bringing together expert knowledge from across Europe, COMPASS-AI will define and validate best practice guidelines through four pilot studies in diverse clinical settings, such as radiology.
