"Los radiólogos tienen en la IA una herramienta para detectar el cáncer de próstata. Hoy en día ya es una realidad”. Así lo ha afirmado Josep Hortigüela, responsable de regulación y calidad de Quibim, en referencia a QP-Prostate, una herramienta ya certificada y validada en Europa y EEUU. Ha sido en la I edición de la jornada “Innovació en Sanitat”, organizado por El Periódico y Prensa Ibérica.
QP-Prostate is more than an AI tool — it’s a foundational platform that unifies radiology reading, fusion biopsy, and focal therapy into one seamless workflow. Its AI-driven interface enables radiologists and urologists to collaborate effortlessly across departments, locations, and even institutions, finally moving beyond the limits of traditional on-premise systems. It’s time to leave isolated workflows behind. Care pathways must be seamless. As we head into Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), we spoke with Dr. Rajan Gupta (Duke University School of Medicine) to discuss the future of prostate MRI and the innovations reshaping cancer diagnosis and care. From the shift toward personalized, image-based risk stratification to the expanding role of radiomics and AI, Dr. Gupta shares where the field is moving—and what it will take to get there. One message stands out: progress is real, but true personalization will only reach its full potential with global standardization. Former Prime Minister David Cameron has decided to share his prostate cancer diagnosis, expressing his support for the expansion of screening programs, an initiative led by Prostate Cancer Research that we fully support. Lord Cameron’s experience of being encouraged by his wife to get tested and receiving successful treatment underscores what we know from the data: when #ProstateCancer is caught early, outcomes improve dramatically. His call for targeted screening for men most at risk also aligns with the evolution we're seeing in prostate cancer diagnosis. Beyond traditional screening methods, advanced imaging, particularly AI-enhanced MRI, is transforming the traditional diagnostic pathway by detecting clinically significant cancers earlier, reducing unnecessary biopsies and supporting faster, more accurate reporting. As Lord Cameron's story reminds us, awareness, screening, and early detection are our most powerful tools in the fight against prostate cancer. https://lnkd.in/dbHAX6Gb
🏅 We are glad to share that our scientific communication “𝘈𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵-𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮” has received the Best Paper Award at the 6th International Conference on Medical Imaging and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (MICAD), London, UK. Congratulations to the authors — Xavier Rafael Palou, Jose Munuera, Ana Jimenez Pastor, Richard Osuala, Karim Lekadir, and Oliver Diaz — for advancing the reliability of multisite clinical AI systems through innovative, agent-based drift monitoring. Proud to see this work recognized on an international stage. #RadioVal #MedicalImaging #Innovation #AIinHealthcare

🇷🇴 On November 17 and 18, Siemens Romania will host the seventh consortium meeting of the FLUTE Project - AI & Prostate Cancer. Quibim will actively participate mainly in WP2, WP3, and WP5, bringing its expertise in imaging biomarkers and artificial intelligence for #ProstateCancer detection. We are working with Gradiant to support the development of AI models for predicting tumor aggressiveness in patients with suspected prostate cancer, using MRI and clinical data. With UPC, we collaborate in generating synthetic prostate MRI images (T2 and DWI) and their validation through QP-Prostate. Together with hospitals CHU de Liège, Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) - Vall d'Hebron Institut de Recerca, and IRCCS Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori "Dino Amadori" - IRST Srl, we enable the analysis of MRI images using QP-Prostate, obtaining as results the prostate and lesion segmentations and the extraction of imaging biomarkers from real data. Let's keep moving forward!
