Our Moorefield, WV, facility recently made several impactful donations to organizations in their community. Moorefield donated to the Queen Bees Softball team, the Eastern Emergency Shelter and the Hardy County Committee on Aging. Keep up the good work, Moorefield!
Our Sumter, SC, team recently hosted a three-day culture event to reinforce the company's vision and values through several engaging activities. Human Resource Managers from several Pilgrim's facilities traveled to Sumter to attend the event. Sounds like a great time, team!
Our Marshville, NC, and Sumter, SC, facilities recently sponsored a tree planting and education program for 4th grade students in their regions. This program allowed the students to learn the process of planting and caring for a tree as well as the importance of having trees in their communities. Through this initiative, over 200 trees have been planted and over 11,000 seedlings have been gifted to students who participate in the program. Good work, Marshville and Sumter!
Our Douglas, GA, facility recently hosted a family fun day for team members and their families. The event included bingo, laser tag, face painting, dancing as well as tasty treats for everyone to enjoy. Sounds like a good event, Douglas!
Recently, we graduated 155 team members from our Supervisor Development Program. During the three-day conference leading up to graduation, the participants had the opportunity to hear from David Colwell, President of Value Added, Anna Lee Munns, Head of Fed Beef Accounting & Finance and Jason Miller, Head of Prepared Foods Human Resources. These graduates now hold various supervisor roles throughout the company, and we are excited to see all their positive accomplishments.
Last week, 175 members of our Supervisor Development Program, visited Colorado for three full days of leadership development and supervisor training sessions. These supervisors work in a variety of roles across many different US locations. Supervisors attending this event included both recently hired and established team members. At the end of the program all participants graduated from the Supervisor Development Program and are now equipped with skills to help them succeed in their role as a supervisor.
Our team members had a great time connecting with students from many different colleges at IPPE. We had the opportunity to interview and speak with lots of students and can’t wait to see all of the wonderful skills they will bring to our company!
