Recognition of Excellence Mount Carmel Grove City would like to recognize and commend Jackson Township Fire Department for their exceptional efforts during a recent cardiac arrest response in which a surgical cricothyroidotomy was performed. While not every patient outcome is known or guaranteed, we want to take a moment to honor the extraordinary level of skill, courage, and clinical judgment demonstrated on this call. Performing such an advanced, high-risk intervention in the field reflects a deep commitment to patient care and professional excellence. Your dedication to giving every patient the best possible chance—no matter the circumstances—does not go unnoticed. We are proud to work alongside providers who consistently embody the highest standards of emergency medical care. Thank you for your continued service and unwavering commitment to our community.

Each year, the American Heart Association brings together young women for an engaging event designed to spark interest in STEM careers through immersive learning and meaningful connections. A standout experience was Dr. Laura Gravelin’s heart dissection lab, where students explored pig hearts up close and gained real-world insight into the science behind cardiology. 🫀 Opportunities like this play an important role in nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and inspiring the next generation of women to pursue leadership roles in STEM fields.
