Taylorville Memorial Hospital recently received a prestigious four-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This is the highest rating of any hospital in central Illinois. CMS also awarded TMH five stars for cleanliness, a distinction achieved by only 13 hospitals in Illinois. This honor is a reflection of the culture at TMH, which puts the patient at the center while prioritizing safe, high-quality care. Every one of our colleagues, medical staff and volunteers has a role to play in creating that great experience.

We were honored to host both U.S. Senators from Illinois, Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, at the Edgar J. Curtis Memorial Learning Center on Tuesday. We were joined by leaders from SIU Medicine, Springfield Clinic and HSHS St. John’s Hospital to talk about how cuts to Medicaid and other federal programs will affect how we care for our patients and communities. It's great to be part of a community where leaders of different organizations can come together to advocate for the well-being of our neighbors and our healthcare workforce. Thank you to Sen. Durbin and Sen. Duckworth for being part of that conversation!
