More than 1,600 ceramic fish, suspended in a swirling school, greet visitors to Chicago’s famed Shedd Aquarium. And they were all made in our Kohler, Wisconsin, pottery. 🐟 The awe-inspiring installation, titled “The Once and Forever Lake Michigan,” is the work of visionary sculptor David Franklin, who was commissioned to create a piece for the expansive, newly redesigned entrance. Franklin, a two-time alumnus of the Arts/Industry residency, our collaborative program with John Michael Kohler Arts Center, returned to our factory studio to create the slip cast fish as part of the Kohler MakerSpace invitational residency program. Here, he was able to collaborate with our expert manufacturing associates and employ full access to industrial materials to bring his creative vision to life. This year, we awarded 33 scholarships to high school seniors based on outstanding academic achievements, as well as contributions to their schools and communities. What an epic week at Whistling Straits as we welcomed more than 500 student-athletes, coaches, parents and sponsors for the 2025 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC). 🏌️💫 This is our second of a six-year partnership with PGA of America and PGA REACH—which includes sponsoring the PWCC and its corresponding Beyond the Green career event, providing scholarship grants, and hosting the championship again in 2029. The PWCC is considered the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf, designed to highlight competitive golf programs at underrepresented minority-serving institutions and promote careers in the business of golf and beyond.
