They’ll work alongside experienced professionals, take on meaningful responsibilities and gain firsthand experience helping deliver some of the industry’s most complex construction and engineering projects. We’re excited to welcome this year’s interns and can’t wait to see what they accomplish this summer. 🏗️
Falls are one of the most serious risks on a jobsite. They’re also one of the most preventable. Today, our teams are taking part in the Fall Protection Stand-Down, stepping back to look closely at the work, the risks and the safeguards in place. It’s a chance to review plans, reinforce the importance of fall protection through real and honest field conversations and make sure everyone understands the plan before going back to work. Safeguard intensity means being present, engaged and ready to act. It’s not just about awareness; it’s about how well we execute.
Now open. A new chapter for Omaha. The Omaha Central Library is officially welcoming the community into a 102,000 square-foot space built for learning, connection and creativity. Inside, visitors can explore curated book displays, access more than 100 computers and devices and spend time in a hands-on space featuring 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing and quilting equipment. The space also includes more than 15 meeting and study rooms. Behind the scenes, a three-story automated system uses robotic arms to retrieve materials from a storage system that can hold 600,000 items. Our relationship with the Zoo spans decades. Our building team has helped deliver several of its most recognized exhibits, including the Desert Dome, Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium, Scott African Grasslands, Owen Sea Lion Shores, Hubbard Orangutan Forest and Bay Family Children's Adventure Trails. These spaces are designed to support conservation, education and care for thousands of animals while creating meaningful experiences for more than a million visitors each year. One of the largest dam removal projects in the United States is earning national recognition. ENR has named the Klamath River Renewal Project a Project of the Year finalist and a Best Project in the Water/Environment category. Under a progressive design-build approach, our team dismantled four hydroelectric dams across 40 miles of difficult terrain. This work reopened more than 400 miles of river, restoring critical access for salmon and improving river health across California and Oregon. For decades, the dams slowed water flow, trapping sediment and raising river temperatures. These conditions made it difficult for fish populations to thrive. This milestone marks an important step forward for large-scale environmental restoration in North America. Thank you to our project team, client, Tribal leadership across the Klamath Basin and the many partners who helped make this achievement possible.
