Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we take a moment to pay tribute to the rich history, vibrant cultures, and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada. In honor of this significant day, we are delighted to showcase the captivating Indigenous Artwork that adorns our headquarters, crafted by the talented artist Arnold Jacobs. Arnold Jacobs, an esteemed member of the Onondaga Nation, Turtle Clan of the Haudenosaunee, resides in the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. As a visual artist and the proud owner of the Two Turtle Art Gallery in Ohsweken, Ontario, he has dedicated his career to imparting his people's beliefs, spirituality, and teachings through the captivating world of arts.

#Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, more than 250,000 enslaved Americans in Texas were given their freedom, over two years after President Abraham Lincoln had signed the Emancipation Proclamation to abolish slavery. @Geotab is proud to support Juneteenth and recognizes today as an opportunity for all of us to learn and reflect on the journey to end systematic racism and inequality in the workplace. We encourage you to learn more about this historical holiday often referred to as #FreedomDay, and continue to observe the past, present and future work toward a nation of equality.
The Localization and Technical Writing teams recently came together for a 4-day summit at our Oakville headquarters. We kicked off the event with an enjoyable team building day in downtown Toronto, where we showed visiting team members from the UK, Germany and Spain, as well as New Brunswick and British Columbia, around the city, creating lasting memories together!
