An important aspect of our impact code focuses on being open to learning how we can better serve the vulnerable population of our community as well as cultivate an encouraging and respectful work environment for our staff. Yesterday, at our annual person All-Staff meeting, we had an enlightening opportunity where we learned how to better understand crucial DEIA conversations and create a more inclusive workplace for everyone. The afternoon included some team-building activities followed by a critical session on 'The Macro Effect of Microaggressions' where we learned and practiced how to identify and confront microaggressions effectively. Thank you, Jeannine Bindl and Stephanie Munoz, from Step Up For Equity, and Amanda Goodenough with Goodenough Consulting, LLC., for your insights on creating a safe space for us to grow with one another. It was a wonderful day full of openness, honesty and connection.
