Together with Vogue Scandinavia, Royal Copenhagen celebrated their 250th anniversary by welcoming an intimate group of creatives and tastemakers to the lush Winter Garden at Glyptoteket, coinciding with the opening night of Copenhagen Fashion Week. “Gathering around the table has always been at the heart of our brand,” says Royal Copenhagen's Creative Director Jasper Toron Nielsen. “So celebrating this epic anniversary with a fabulous dinner felt only natural.” The event wasn’t just a tribute to the past, but also a quiet unveiling of the future: Aurora, Royal Copenhagen’s new crystal glassware collection.

As Georg Jensen enters a new chapter under the creative direction of Paula Gerbase, we’re honoured to be featured in the Financial Times' HTSI magazine, both in print and online. Editor Jo Ellison visited our Copenhagen silversmithy, meeting fourth-generation artisans and new apprentices, while exploring everything from iconic archive pieces to the upcoming Collector series. As Gerbase puts it: “This brand is not a brand, it’s a house.” Her vision is helping us rediscover the full breadth of Georg Jensen’s artistic legacy, while shaping a future that’s as daring as it is refined. From silver spoons at Salone del Mobile to reissued masterpieces by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe and Nanna Ditzel, the story captures Gerbase’s ambition to “re-establish what this house is, to speak about what the designers were doing throughout its history and, of course, to do something new.”

We’re proud to continue holding the top spot in Just Shift’s Sustainable Steel Scoreboard 2025! The Scoreboard evaluates how publicly listed companies in Finland are progressing toward more sustainable and fossil-free steel supply chains — and we’re happy to see our efforts recognized. Over the past year, we've advanced the use of lower-emission recycled steel: 🔹Fiskars' All Steel series features Outokumpu’s certified low-emission recycled steel 🔹Fiskars' renewed Classic scissors, made in Billnäs, Finland, use 100% recycled steel 🔹Georg Jensen is taking steps to increase the share of recycled steel used in their homeware Our commitment to circular design extends beyond steel. From recycled gold and silver in Georg Jensen jewelry, to ongoing innovation in ceramics, and exploration of plastics that meet high standards both in quality and sustainability, we're designing with the enviromenent in mind — in every material and every category. “We know there’s still much to do. Achieving our climate and circular goals requires concrete action across the value chain — especially in material sourcing. While the new CSRD reporting directive changed how we present material-specific data and how that is then taken into account in this evaluation, we’ve had valuable discussions with Just Shift on how assessment methods and reporting practices can evolve together,” says Kati Ihamäki, VP, Sustainability.

The IITTALA Glass Factory proudly hosted the 22nd World Championship in Glassblowing, welcoming a record 39 talented glassblowers from across Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, Poland, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Finland. A large crowd of glass enthusiasts gathered at the factory to watch the exciting yet good-natured contest, where competitors openly encouraged each other. The competition pushed the limits of craftsmanship with three timed challenges: blowing the largest plate, cylinder, and ball—each in just 6 minutes. We’re proud to share that our very own Jozsef Ujfalusi claimed the championship title! Jozsef delivered the top results in all three rounds: • Plate: 626 mm • Cylinder: 1989 mm • Ball: 537 mm The Glassblowing World Championships was part of the Finnish Glass Biennale, which brought together glass makers and artists to various events throughout the first week of June. Congratulations Jozsef!
