CHR attended last week’s public hearing before Connecticut’s Appropriations Committee to provide testimony supporting funding for the Connecticut State Department of Children & Families. CHR’s President and CEO, Heather Gates, and two individuals receiving services through Transitional Support for Emerging Adults (TSEA), CHR’s CT Department of Children and Families-funded program, testified before the Committee. TSEA helps young adults who have aged out of foster care and are ready to work on the next chapter in their lives, including help with education, job training, housing and more. TSEA’s evidence-based model has helped more than 240 young adults since 2019 through programs run by CHR and Wheeler Clinic. To learn more about CHR and our services, visit www.chrhealth.org.
