Cinemark reported its 3Q24 earnings this morning, sharing yet another quarter of box office results that significantly surpassed expectations and reinforced the health and vitality of the exhibition industry. The company exceeded year-over-year North American industry box office growth, set a new all-time-high concession per cap record and achieved its highest third-quarter revenue and Adjusted EBITDA of all time! These outstanding results underscore the lasting impact that a theatrical release generates, and Cinemark certainly understands how meaningful experiencing stories in a theatrical setting is to the hundreds of millions of moviegoers visiting theaters every year. Last week, we hosted our 33rd Annual Cinemark Charity Classic auction and golf tournament, a beloved tradition during which we raise funds for four incredibly deserving organizations that align with our company’s philanthropic pillars: Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, Variety - the Children's Charity of Texas, North Texas Food Bank, and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. As reported during this morning’s earnings call, 2023 represented another meaningful post-pandemic progression for our industry and especially for Cinemark. Once again, our phenomenal team produced strong operating and financial results. To highlight a few, we: • Entertained 210 million movie-goers across our global footprint spanning 14 countries; • Delivered record results in our ultra-immersive XD and D-BOX premium formats; • Grew Movie Club membership to 1.2 million members which drove 24% of our box office; • Increased revenue 31% to $3.1 billion; • Achieved highest concessions sales of ALL TIME with $1.2 billion; and • Delivered 77% growth in Adjusted EBITDA to $594 million. These results demonstrate that moviegoer enthusiasm for Cinemark’s larger-than-life cinematic experiences remains strong, and we are highly optimistic about the future of exhibition given the vibrancy of our industry’s key fundamentals.
