From management trainee to the forefront of technology, Stephanie DeRito has built a dynamic career at CSX and now serves as Director of Intermodal Field Systems and Change Management within CSX Intermodal Operations. Today, she proudly leads a team delivering technologies that make our intermodal employees’ jobs more efficient and more connected across our network.
Safety starts with preparation. In 2025, CSX empowered 5,645 first responders through 75 hands-on sessions of our Responder Incident Training program. With a new training locomotive and real-world scenarios, we’re working side by side with local partners to ensure safe, effective responses to rail-related incidents. This month, more than 1,100 members of the CSX Engineering team gathered in Jacksonville, Florida, for our annual System Production Start-Up Training. The event focused on sharpening skills, fostering connections, and reinforcing our unwavering commitment to safety. From rules training to OSHA and FRA certifications, to hands-on instruction, this training helps ensure our teams are prepared to tackle the year ahead. Our focus is clear: make sure everyone goes home safely.

CSX recently welcomed the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council aboard our business train for CSX Innovation Day—a hands-on STEM experience hosted by our Technology team.
