Lakita is a 14-year AutoZoner who originally started as a temporary employee working in the Benefits Department before being hired as a Benefits Specialist later that year. Today, she’s a Regional HR Manager for the Richmond region. Lakita emphasizes the importance of not only working hard but of networking, making as many connections as you can. Today’s Extra Miler Story comes from store 3791, and it reads, “Matthew saved the day for me today! My windshield wiper snapped during the cold weather, and I was clueless about how to fix it. Matthew removed the broken part, helped me purchase the best replacement wipers, and installed them. He was also so kind to my toddler, who I was trying to keep busy while he changed the wiper blade. I’m grateful for this AutoZone location and the great people who work there!”
