Archbold proudly announces that Archbold Pinetree Pharmacy has achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for specialty pharmacy services. The accreditation recognizes Archbold Pinetree Pharmacy’s capacity to care for patients who require specialty medications that are not filled at a regular pharmacy, like those used to treat cancer, cardiomyopathy, and other rare diseases.
Archbold Grady Auxiliary was recently recognized for its work with the “Community of Conscience Award” at the Council on Volunteer Services Georgia Health Care (COVS/GHC) conference in Macon. Archbold Grady was named the statewide winner among small hospitals. The group of volunteers was recognized for their work raising money, supporting local church food banks, and awarding a yearly scholarship in addition to everyday tasks at the hospital.
Archbold Urologist Eric Webb, MD, is the first in Georgia to perform a revolutionary kidney stone treatment using a new system known as the CVAC system. The CVAC system, approved by the FDA earlier this year, has been shown to significantly reduce stone volume. Patients benefit from decreased chances of recurrence and painful stone passage compared to previous treatment options.

The Maternity Center will also feature an abundance of amenities carefully designed to enhance the labor and delivery experience.
Archbold Memorial has announced its third class of internal medicine residents. These six physicians will spend the next three years at Archbold, rotating between specialties with an emphasis on internal medicine.
Archbold recently named Stacey Hancock Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer following the retirement of long-time vice president Zach Wheeler. Hancock has over 32 years of healthcare human resources experience and related fields. She came to Archbold most recently from Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, Spalding Regional Hospital and Sylvan Grove Hospital, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources since 2016.
Archbold Interventional Cardiologist Jared Davis, MD, recently performed a cutting-edge cardiac procedure that offers treatment for a common silent heart condition that can lead to serious complications. Davis, who practices with Cardiovascular Consultants of South Georgia, performed the minimally invasive procedure to close a patent foramen ovale (PFO).
Archbold interventional cardiologist Clay Sizemore, MD, successfully implanted a first-of-its-kind dissolvable stent last week, becoming the first FDA-approved case completed in the state of Georgia. The device is a newly FDA-approved treatment option for people with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) below-the-knee (BTK). CLTI is a serious form of peripheral artery disease (PAD). CLTI BTK occurs when arteries become clogged with plaque, preventing blood flow and oxygen from reaching the lower leg and foot.
