Behind every trip, there’s an incredible team working to make it happen. Some welcome travelers at the airport, while others work behind the scenes to keep our operation running smoothly and safely. This Employee Appreciation Day, we celebrate our team members' hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Whether on the ground or in the air, your efforts are what make Allegiant special. Thank you for all that you do and for never forgetting to spread some sunshine along the way! 💙🧡💛
Meet Sarah, one of the managers on Allegiant’s incredible Airport Affairs team! So what exactly does Airport Affairs do? We’re glad you asked! Our Airport Affairs team is a dedicated group of aviation experts responsible for managing our working relationships across 120 airports nationwide. With an eye toward growth, they collaborate with departments like Network Planning, IT, Finance, and Operations to facilitate our service at airports we currently serve and explore new service in communities across the country. But their work is about more than just operations; it’s about building and nurturing relationships with each airport’s unique team and community. “Each partnership is different, and our team takes pride in understanding the needs and nuances of each one,” said Sarah. Whether it's restoring air service to underserved communities or working through an expansion project, the Airport Affairs team ensures Allegiant’s presence has a positive impact everywhere we go.

In memory of Dr. King's legacy, this national day of service is meant to be observed as "a day on, not a day off." What's your favorite way to give back?
One of our favorite moments of 2024 was being named “Best Low-Cost Airline in North America” at the 2024 World Airline Awards! 🏆 Widely considered the "Oscars of the aviation industry," the World Airline Awards recognizes airlines around the world for exceptional customer service. "Our team members are the foundation of what we do, “ said Greg Anderson, Allegiant president and chief executive officer. “They continue to ensure safety, reliability and impeccable service onboard.”

Allegiant Captain Leo and his daughter, First Officer Valerie, recently took their first official flight together from Los Angeles to Rockford. It was a moment they had both dreamed of for years, sharing a love of the skies first as father and daughter, then as best friends, and now as coworkers. For Leo, flying alongside his daughter is a “full circle” moment as he approaches retirement. He was one of her instructors in flight school and helped inspire her passion for aviation and her dream of carrying on the family legacy. Similarly, Valerie always hoped to reach Allegiant and fly with her dad. However, neither expected it would happen so early in her career. In case their first official flight together wasn't special enough, they were also treated to 200 miles of the Northern Lights. It was a sign that they’re both right where they’re meant to be.
Since joining Allegiant in 2017, Chris has been an integral part of our Maintenance team. Starting as a Lead Technician in Las Vegas, he steadily advanced and now serves as our Director of Maintenance! Recently, Chris was designated as the 119.65 Director of Maintenance in Allegiant's operations specifications, a required position for operations conducted under FAR Part 121. This role serves as a primary point of contact between Allegiant and the FAA. Unsurprisingly, Chris has a special place in his heart for jet engines. “Aircraft powerplants are fascinating. They are a remarkable engineering achievement, designed to endure extreme temperatures and pressures while providing substantial thrust power. The evolution of jet engines has transformed air travel, making it accessible to millions and enhancing global connectivity.”
Ready, set, fold! STEM was front and center at this year’s Paper Plane Palooza, one of our favorite annual events! We loved mentoring the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada kids on Team Allegiant to create the best, most creative paper planes as they learned about aerodynamics, physics, and more. Plus, this year Team Allegiant took #FirstPlace in the Distance Contest. 🙌
Say hello to our newest graduating class of Allegiant flight attendants! 🥳 Congratulations on the beginning of a beautiful new chapter and welcome to the friendly skies.
