This #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, Airgas honors all who have served and those in uniform. Supporting the military community is a commitment woven into how we operate, creating real opportunity and offering genuine support. That’s the standard behind our Gold-level Military Friendly® Employer designation four-years running and our 18-year long-standing partnership with Operation Homefront. We take special pride in our nearly 1,200 veteran associates at Airgas. Their discipline, leadership, and skills learned in the military are the exact qualities that make our operations thrive. Today and always, we salute their service.
Airgas is accelerating our commitment to the next generation of skilled trades by expanding the Airgas High School Welding Education Initiative to 76 schools across 26 states in 2026! The selection of 76 schools for this year’s cohort carries a quiet, symbolic significance. As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, Airgas’ “Class of 76” highlights our mission to foster a different kind of independence: the technical mastery and career-readiness that empower students to build their own futures and support essential infrastructure. Since its inception in 2018, our High School Welding program has moved beyond simple support and into true workforce transformation. To date, the program has empowered over 16,000 students from 191 schools nationwide, equipped 817 instructors with modern machinery and safety PPE, and helped launch more than 3,100 careers with graduates transitioning directly from classrooms to high-demand professional welding and technical roles. These students are the future of American manufacturing and we are honored to play a part in their journey from the classroom to the job site. Together, we are ensuring that the skilled trades remain strong. Congratulations to the 76 schools!
It’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Airgas’ CFO, Jennifer Hernandez. Jennifer's career began with a focus on internal audit and branch operations, which provided an invaluable perspective on the core of Airgas: our people, processes, and daily execution. She intentionally sought finance roles that bridge "the numbers" and "the business," and is now motivated by seeing the tangible impact our work has on society in everyday life. “By combining a deep financial background with a focus on what drives value for our business, I've been able to grow as a leader and valued partner—a path that has led to my current role as CFO at Airgas,” she shares. As a woman navigating a leadership career in a STEM-related field, Jennifer's best advice is to meet people where they are and ensure your voice is heard by speaking with clarity and conviction. Jennifer challenges all of us: "Challenge your boundaries. Professional excellence and personal maturity thrive in the moments you choose courage over comfort." Thank you, Jennifer, for your powerful leadership and inspiration! #WomenInStem
As we mark the 100th anniversary of Black history celebrations in the U.S., the mission remains the same: honoring Black heritage and its vital role in our shared history. We use this time to pause and understand the road traveled and the work left to do. Inclusion fuels our safety, our innovation and our growth. #BlackHistoryMonth

Airgas’ High School Welding Education Initiative marks another year of success! We’re honored to highlight the impressive results from the 2025 academic year, supporting more than 3,900 students at 72 schools in 33 states. In this year alone, over 1,200 students obtained welding jobs directly after graduation. What’s even better is that we’ve shared the passion for welding with over 16,000 students and 191 schools since the program’s national launch in 2018! Let’s celebrate the next generation of welders and the phenomenal work of our supported schools and Airgas associates who have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact on their local community. #CitizenatWork
This Military Family Appreciation Month, we proudly recognize Airgas' own John Liesen, Vice President of ALTEC Engineering Solutions and Business Development, who is a West Point graduate and six-year Army Field Artillery veteran. John's legacy of service is deeply rooted in his family, with all four of his oldest children actively serving in the military, and his fifth receiving a conditional appointment to West Point: - Alex ('23 West Point grad, Army) - Tori ('25 Naval Academy grad, Navy, slated for flight school) - Emma ('27 West Point cadet) - Jake ('28 West Point cadet) - Noah ('30 prospective West Point cadet) Their inspiration? A desire to tackle challenges, protect American freedoms, and aspire to be their best selves. For John, this month is a time of deep appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of military families. Beyond Airgas, he chairs the Military and Veterans Commission in Hudson, Ohio and is involved with the West Point Association of Graduates, continually giving back to the community he serves. Join us in honoring John and his entire family for their profound dedication and service to our country. #MilitaryFamilyAppreciationMonth #EmployeeSpotlight
