Our teams not only provide lifesaving services to communities across the nation, but they are also a vital part of the communities they serve. Last month, our Tri-State CareFlight bases in Western Arizona participated in the Kidz & Heroes Cornhole Tournament. The event gave kids a chance to connect with first responders and learn how essential air medical care is to a complete EMS ecosystem. We’re proud to be part of the community and to inspire the next generation of lifesavers!

As we embark on a milestone year, we reflect on the thousands of lives we've positively impacted and the strong relationships we've built along the way. Founded 45 years ago by visionary Roy Morgan, whose personal experience inspired him to provide communities with properly equipped and staffed air medical service helicopters, we’ve carried forward his unwavering commitment to safety and exceptional patient care. Today, we hold those same values close and are always ready to respond when it matters most. Here’s to continuing to provide the safest, best lifesaving care in the nation!

Two more sleeps! Letting his reindeer rest up for the big day, Santa had a great time in Arizona with our LifeNet and TriState CareFlight crews! Our teams assisted Santa in his travels, visiting many children across the state and allowing him to hear last-minute wishes. The teamwork and holiday spirit made for a truly magical experience for everyone involved. Santa is all set for a smooth, festive ride on Christmas Eve!

The greatest acknowledgment of our freedom is to honor the veterans of our armed forces who have sacrificed and, in many instances, paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The men and women of our armed forces continue to be an inspiration to all of us through their demonstrations of courage, leadership, and commitment in service to our communities and country. A simple “thank you” doesn’t seem enough.

We take a moment to recognize all who are impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton and appreciate those who have assisted in recovery efforts. We are grateful that all of our teammates are safe, and our hearts are with those who lost their homes and livelihoods. Every year, Air Methods’ volunteer Hurricane Response Team stands by to be deployed when needed. These pilots, clinicians, and mechanics from across the country help support both our local teammates and our partners impacted by storms. Recovery is truly a community effort that takes time and collaboration. While it’s often difficult to find the rainbow at the end of a terrible storm, our teams remain ready to serve whenever called upon. 📷: Bayflite 4 in Inverness, FL

First Responder Status for Native Air 22 and 83 in Arizona achieved! What does this mean? Native Air 22 and 83 are approved to provide first-response capabilities in the areas of Coconino County and Northern Arizona to assist in providing rapid, emergency care. Native Air can provide initial scene control and patient care prior to the arrival of ground resources, providing supplemental rapid access for residents or visitors who need emergent care. Our pilots receive additional, annual training on hazard identification and risk mitigation which is part of the criteria for receiving first responder status. We’re excited to have this important and needed capability to better serve our communities!

The LifeNet 1-1 team in Omaha, NE recently celebrated 45 years of providing lifesaving air medical care to the community. Originally known as Life Flight, the program was founded in 1979 by Creighton University Medical Center as the ninth air medical program in the United States. Today, the program is known as LifeNet of the Heartland. Four and a half decades of service is not only notable, it’s a benchmark to meet. Happy anniversary, LifeNet 1-1, you put the ❤️ in Heartland.
