I applied over a month ago and it was radio silence for so long, I had to figure out WHEN I applied and where. HR reached out to me last week and asked me for my availability. Clearly, they are not investing in infrastructure that would allow them to have a Calendly link and remove this song and dance for candidates and themselves. I sent my availability in this outdated game and then sent a follow up email to clarify the days I was open and to please feel free to send me a meeting invite for those days, to ease the stress of knowing my availability. I wouldn't want to be rude and felt my tone may have come across that way, so I sent a second email to be sure they knew what I meant. Unlike vMOX, I know a person is on the other side and because I have empathy, I self correct. I believe in being proactive instead of reactive. Better to apologize first, than not at all. And this company already showed they are slow to respond, so I did THEM the favor of giving my best days that I'm free and clear. Radio silence AGAIN, so I waited a week and sent the HR woman ANOTHER email. Next day, today, get an email that another candidate has been chosen that they are moving forward with. Huh? We never interviewed! This place leaves much to be desired in terms of company culture and being a good human. Dodged a bullet here. Bless their hearts and may they continue to have the day they deserve.
