My interview process with Tabby started well but unfortunately ended in a disappointing experience and ghosting.
I applied in August and was quickly invited to an HR screening. Within two weeks, I completed the first technical interview, which included standard Go questions and a code review task. Shortly after, I had the second technical interview focused on system design. All interviews were pleasant, both technical rounds went well, and I was explicitly told that the feedback was positive and that my profile would be passed to the teams. At that point, it genuinely felt like the process was moving forward.
This is where the process stalled completely.
For an entire month, I heard absolutely nothing. When I followed up, HR claimed they were “waiting for a suitable opening” but couldn’t give any timeline. Another month passed. I followed up again, and this time I was completely ignored. No response at all, despite the company previously assuring me I was progressing.
In total, I spent a month going through three interviews, only to be ghosted for 2.5 months afterward. If Tabby doesn’t actually have a role open, or isn’t ready to hire, they should not drag candidates through a full interview loop, give them positive feedback, and then disappear. It shows a lack of basic professionalism and respect for people’s time.
I hope Tabby improves the transparency and reliability of their hiring process.
