Cold applied online and recruiter reached out to me within a week. Setup a quick phone screen and they described the rest of the interview process. Next step was the technical problem set which was fairly easy. Reviewed my solutions with solutions architects in a technical interview. I thought the recruiter had ghosted me after that interview because it took them about 3 weeks to follow up with me. The final round interview was with a VP and they actually explicitly mentioned getting an offer out. After another 2 weeks of silence from the recruiter, I got a rejection letter saying they went with someone else. Overall, it felt like a standard interview process and very drawn out because of lack of communication from the recruiters. I'm pretty sure the recruiting team is collecting resumes right now, given the state of the economy, and being extremely selective in the hiring. That doesn't excuse poor communication on their part though, and also for a VP to explicitly mention making an offer. Left me with a very bad impression of the company.

The recruitment process spanned approximately two months and consisted of four stages, each providing valuable feedback from the responsible recruiter. The culminating activity was a project I had to present, and I genuinely enjoyed the entire experience.
