I was initially contacted on LinkedIn about this role and asked to submit my resume. After doing so, I had to follow up multiple times just to move the process forward — it took nearly a week just to schedule the first interview. The interview was with the Senior Manager that messaged me on linkedIn, yet it was described by him as an introductory screen before meeting with the hiring manager, but it was nothing like that. The manager provided no real information about the role, the team, or the company’s goals. Again, he stated it was a screening call, and he reached out to me! Instead, it immediately turned into a rushed, non- stop badgering series of generic behavioral questions that lasted about 35 minutes. The whole interview he was very monotone. Over a week later, I finally received a rejection — after only that initial screening. The lack of communication, long delays, and absence of basic courtesy made it clear there’s little respect for a candidate’s time. The whole interaction felt impersonal and dismissive, as though I was just another number in the system rather than a serious candidate. This experience did not reflect well on the company’s culture or professionalism in how they treat applicants. Very odd that the Hiring Manager acts as the recruiter, yet runs an extremely difficult initial interview.

I recently had an HR screening interview at monday.com. The interview itself was concise, structured, and seemed productive—I felt confident, clearly connected my experience to the role, and addressed all critical points effectively. However, the negative reply came very shortly afterward, leading me to believe that the outcome may have been predetermined. It left an impression that the interview was merely procedural rather than genuinely evaluative. I hope the company ensures all candidates are given authentic consideration to respect the time and effort invested in the process.
